Those with Lazyboy jobs Phoenix recently selected a new vice president for the company.
La-Z-Boy recently named R. Rand Tucker as the vice president and general council of the company. In this newly-created position, Tucker will be responsible for overseeing all of La-Z-Boy's legal and environmental matters.
Tucker began working for La-Z-Boy as a corporate counsel in 2000 after the company acquired LADD Furniture, where he worked as vice president and general counsel. Tucker previously served as a partner for Kilpatrick Stockton LLP.
"Rand has been an invaluable asset to our company over the past 11 years," Kurt L. Darrow, president and CEO of La-Z-Boy, said in a statement. "In addition to having a wealth of experience in various legal and environmental issues, he understands our company, our industry and the legal obligations and ramifications of today's business climate. With this appointment, the coordination of the company's legal, compliance and environmental practices will be streamlined, allowing for enhanced communication in all areas going forward."
Tucker earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a law degree from the University of Michigan. He is currently licensed to practice in both states and has received the AV Preeminent rating from his peers through the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
"I work with a great legal and environmental team at La-Z-Boy and look forward to leading the group and continuing to build our in-house capabilities," Tucker said.
